You'll learn to carve a spoon from a fallen branch, craft traps for sustenance, and cook over an open fire. It's a chance to thrive in nature, understand the fundamental survival principles, and embrace the beauty of self-reliance.

Course Overview
We will meet at 09.00 at our office (meeting point) in Stockholm and drive to our favourite spot to start the course.
1. Introduction to Survival
In-depth discussion of the "Pyramid of Survival" and how it relates to wilderness survival.
Stress management, signalling, and the importance of a positive mental attitude.
Understanding the 4 principles of survival and the importance of prioritizing them in a survival situation.
2. Fire-Making Skills
Techniques for building and maintaining a fire, including tinder and fire starters, firewood selection, and fire-starting methods using fire steel.
3. Bushcraft Basics, introduction to simple carving techniques
Spoon Carving Workshop
Using knives and carving tools to craft a wooden spoon.
4. Lunch Break. You’ll learn how to cook over an open fire
Preparing a meal over the fire
Demonstrating cooking methods like spit-roasting, pot hanging, and fire-baking. Depending on what’s on the menu that day.
5. Trapping
Building simple traps for catching small games (e.g., figure-four deadfall or snare).
Ethical considerations and responsible trapping.
6. If time, Practical Survival Scenarios
Participants are divided into small groups.
Instructors set up simulated survival scenarios, and participants will use all their ideas and creativity to come up with ideas to overcome challenges and meet their basic needs.
